A man who was tasered by police after allegedly arming himself with a machete in a Gold Coast park has been charged.
Police were called to the park at Labrador about 5.30pm (AEST) on Monday.
They tried to subdue him with a taser and a police dog was called in. The man eventually surrendered.
The 41-year-old, from the Gold Coast, has been charged with one count of going armed so as to cause fear and two counts of possessing a knife in public.
He is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
