A 60-year-old man has died after allegedly being doused with fuel and set on fire in outer suburban Darwin.
Emergency crews were called to a house in Coolalinga just before 8.30pm (CST) after receiving a report a man had been set alight.
Police say early investigations suggest the man was involved in a dispute with another man, aged 37, before the assault.
It is alleged the 37-year-old doused the deceased man with fuel and then set him alight.
Police say the two men were known to each other.
The 60-year-old man was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition on Saturday night, but died on Sunday morning.
The 37-year-old man was arrested on Saturday at the scene and remains in police custody.
Police are yet to interview him.
