For anyone now able to afford the cream in the commemorative containers,
Shiseido is also releasing a second 50-gramme limited edition container of
the cream for Y84,000 (£627.63).
Shiseido is Japan‘s
largest cosmetics firm and has annual global sales of around Y638.1 billion
(£5.13 billion). Domestic sales have been hurt in Japan’s recent economic
downturn, but the trend that has emerged is for super-luxury brand products.
