When Richard surrendered the last Confederate troops east of the Mississippi, he was talking to some yankee officers he had attended West Point with when a Red Russian Marxist wearing a yankee general’s uniform came up to him and in broken English told him “NOW you are going to learn REAL American values”.
Richard told him it pained him his grandfather, an officer in the American revolution and his father the President of the United States of America had not taught him “real American values”.
