A majority of Americans don’t believe President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan will help lower the unemployment rate, skepticism he must overcome as he presses Congress for action and positions himself for re- election.
The downbeat assessment of the American Jobs Act reflects a growing and broad sense of dissatisfaction with the president. Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy by 62 percent to 33 percent, a Bloomberg National Poll conducted Sept. 9-12 shows. The disapproval number represents a nine point increase from six months ago.
The president’s job approval rating also stands at the lowest of his presidency — 45 percent. That rating is driven down in part by a majority of independents, 53 percent, who disapprove of his performance.
“I don’t think he’s done as good a job as I think he could have,” said Paul Kaplan, 58, an unemployed Democrat from Philadelphia. “We were hopeful that things would improve in the economy and they’ve only gotten worse. People in Washington just don’t seem to want to cooperate with each other and work for the people.”

After the congressional defeats last night, I think Obama may get a candidate who runs begins to run against him within the Democratic Party. The only think that would prevent that is if the Republicans continue to thrash about as they are now with no candidate that is truly popular.(with the exception of the one they refuse to acknowledge, Paul)…..As to this story, I think much of the public have come to recognize this fraud that is Obama creating jobs or managing the economy by bailing out the corporate banksters. Any federal politician that wants to get this financial mess under control would go to the heart of the matter and the things he can control. As to overspending, the constant warfare and military budgets would have to be severely trimmed. As to the financial crush and the economy, it would be necessary to stop the bankster controlled theft that is going on and get some sort of real economy going. Obama, of course, will do none of this because these are the forces that put him and his Chicago based bunch of monsters into power.
There are many many Americans on the cbc site.
They are so into the “teaparty”. They are being blinded by Perry and Romney.
Then you have the Canadians there, who are still saying that Obama inherited this mess, and now the Republicans are keeping him from doing his job.
I swear, those left/right people have the ability to drive me insane. I try to get them to watch Obama Deception, but to many just love to stay to stay in their paradigms so they have something to fight over. As with all other paradigms, the political one is full of idiots who don’t have one clue.
BUT there are alot more that are awake to some of the lies. I don’t know if that is any consolation or not. Perhaps they have to learn one step at a time.

When you mention Canada as being in on the deal….please think for a second and realize that it is the Canadian Media that is saying these things….the same media that is owned by the same people that own the American Media.

Who the hell are the 45% that still approve of Obama’s performance? I didn’t think that there were that many criminally insane people in the US. It really is ironic that the people who supported him, namely 95% of voting blacks are the ones he has hurt the most. The crime is that they’ll STILL probably support him in large numbers, maybe not 95% but probably at least 80%. Someday, American blacks will understand that the Democratic Party doesn’t want them to get ahead, or get jobs. It just wants them to continue to rely on handouts, knowing that they’ll continue to vote Democratic, because the Republicans want people to get ahead and become self-sufficient.

Maybe. The other night the “voters” of the 9th district in NY put a man into office that has never been a politician. It was over 90 years ago that a republican held that seat.
