Overnight crashes claim two lives on WA roads

Two people died in separate incidents on West Australian roads overnight.

A 25-year-old driver from Halls Head was killed when the vehicle she was driving left the road and ran into a ditch.

The crash happened while the car was travelling along Stock Road in Yangebup near Barrington Street.

A male passenger was initially thought to have only suffered minor injuries but his condition has since been upgraded to serious.

A 33-year-old Success man died when his Hyundai Elantra collided with a tree near Bunbury overnight.

The incident happened on Bussell Highway, in Usher, about 10pm last night.

A serious crash also required the assistance of the RAC rescue helicopter last night.

It happened on Roland Road, Gidgegannup about 10.45pm when a Hyundai sedan left the road and rolled a number of times.

The male driver had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
