If they can’t go abroad, they have a myriad of choices right here on U.S. soil, from overlooked attractions with cult followings, to spooky resting places with historic backgrounds – you picked Saint Louis #1 as your favorite to visit.
But because nothing screams “summer!” like a full tank of gas and the open road, we’ve now got our eye on the best U.S. road trip routes. There was an upset in the second round when Big Sur fell to the Great River Road Scenic Byway, but Hana Highway has been the competitor to beat all challenge long. Which of these iconic roadways is your favorite drive?
