Democrats, led by the “progressive” TPM online magazine, are calling for Ron Paul to apologize for living in a reality-based world. TPM is tiffed because Paul described Obama as an elected dictator (see video below).

TPM’s Josh Petri expects Ron Paul to follow in the footsteps of Rep. Denny Rehberg. The Montana Republican was lambasted for showing off a cartoon depicting Obama as the murdered former leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi.

“Rehberg was quick to offer an apology. Paul, however, is not expected to apologize for anything,” writes Petri.

Ron Paul has not compared Obama to Gaddafi. He simply pointed out the fact Obama has violated the Constitution by issuing executive orders that bypass Congress and the American people. “The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it – and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it’s very, very bad,” Paul told Fox News.

In October, Obama said “we can’t wait for an increasingly dysfunctional Congress to do its job. Where they won’t act, I will.” He said that he has looked at ways to violate the Constitution “every single day” and promised to issue “executive actions on a regular basis.”

Both Democrats and Republicans love to violate the Constitution. Bush ruled by executive fiat too, but Obama has taken the practice to a new level.

Serious constitutional violations through executive orders began in earnest when FDR was in office. He said that “the normal balance of Executive and legislative authority may be wholly adequate to meet the unprecedented task before us” and called for a “temporary departure from that normal balance of public procedure.”

FDR asked Congress to approve of his violation of the Constitution. “I shall ask the Congress for the one remaining instrument to meet the crisis – broad Executive power,” FDR said.

Obama has not asked for permission from a usually compliant Congress. He has dismissed Congress and the American people as “dysfunctional” and has promised to act like a dictator.

TPM is either unable to see this or is making excuses for Obama. It’s OK when Democrats stomp on the Constitution, but a crime when Republicans do it.

Thankfully, Ron Paul will not be following in the shoes of the spineless Denny Rehberg.

Well let’s see. Obama started a war in Libya without a declaration of war from
Congress as required by the Constitution. In fact he did not even consult with congress before he did it. He has now put boots on the ground in Uganda also without Congressional authorization. Thus Congress is rendered irrelevant.

He now claims the authority to assasinate anyone including an American citizen if he labels that person a terrorist. No trial or even charges are required. And so the court system is also rendered irrelevant.

So two of the three branches of government have been rendered irrelevant by the executive branch. Sounds like a dictatorship to me.

Yes it is a dictatorship but its not even though it is because the progressives say it isnt.

Congress is increasingly dysfunctional and so is Obama.If you cross referenced every dictator they all have very similar attributes and mental conditions and personality defects.The super congress or the creation of it had nothing to do with Obama but they let the dysfunctional narcissist wannabe dictator take the credit for it all anyway.

That was a strange Fox interview, they were almost nice to Paul. Only one gotcha question and a poorly delivered/lame your an insider comment. I think Paul is wearing them down.
All of these presidents have gotten away with this shit because congress was never restored after the war between the states. The common law has been dead for many years, and the people have been ruled; not governed for a long time.
I’m so sick and tired of watching peoples faces go blank when I talk about this stuff. Sometimes it feels like there is no chance of ever regaining our country, but I have pledged to myself to never give up the fight for freedom.

Besides, no modern presidents of U.S. have the right to change or alter the Constitution. More than 200 years ago they had a war over it, change it today and there’ll be war for it. If they violate it they should be impeach. But if there is another revolution, the country would be completely divided.

There is a process for Congress to stop each Executive Order before 30 days, long before it become law. Congress has not done it and by all means they should know about that process. For each Executive Order, Congress is to blame for it for not eliminating them.
E.O. 13575 is where Obama takes over our land. EPA and FDA have EO that Congress could have ended before they went into effect. The tyranny of these agencies belong to President Obama and the Congress.
