Romney wins in Michigan, Arizona

Romney cruised to victory in the Arizona Republican primary on Tuesday night, winning 43 percent of the ballots counted so far against 28 percent for Santorum.

Two other Republican candidates, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul, are trailing far behind in both contests.

Romney’s Arizona triumph will give him all of the state’s 29 Republican National Convention delegates in the winner-takes-all primary.

Unofficial returns from 54 percent of the votes counted in Michigan showed Romney at 41 percent and Santorum at 38 percent.

Paul has won 12 percent of the vote in Michigan while New Gingrich has obtained only 7 percent.
