Shots fired at fleeing Perth teenager

Police are treating an early morning shooting in Perth’s south as an attempted murder after a 17-year-old girl was fired at as she fled into her house.

Police are seeking information from anyone who may have heard shots fired in Nautilus Close at Port Kennedy at around 3.20am (WST) on Thursday.

A police spokeswoman said the 17-year-old was outside her home when she saw two men running up the street towards her, one of them carrying what was believed to be a firearm.

She told police that one man continued to run towards her while the other stopped and pointed the firearm at her and fired a shot, letting off a second round as she ran inside the house.

The two men were then seen to run towards a park at the end of the street.

The woman received a minor facial injury during the incident.

One of the men is described as being around 183cm tall with a muscular build. The other was around 165 to 173 cm tall, with a thin build.
