FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda An African-American researcher and historian says while Edward Snowden has “told the truth” about US spying activities, he has “no critique of” Washington’s spying against civil rights activists.
In an interview with NBC News aired on Wednesday, Snowden said he considers himself to be an American patriot and he would love to return to the US but he does not want to “walk into a jail cell.”
Dr. Randy Short told Press TV on Thursday that he believes Snowden is a patriot because the former US intelligence contractor is concerned only about the freedom of whites.
“Snowden is conservative, Snowden has no critique of capitalism or pluralism, racism or white supremacy and I believe him when he says he’s a patriot. He’s a white nationalist who’s concerned about the curtailment of freedom of whites who have racial privilege in the country,” Short said.
He also said that secret spying programs that targeted African-American rights activists like Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were never made public.
No secrets were revealed by Snowden about the “hundreds of black political prisoners” in the US or the “state’s apparatus of oppression of African-Americans or other people of color,” Short told Press TV in a phone interview.
Snowden “claims to understand America and what America is about, and he’s put this information out about what’s happened in America when he leaked this information and yet he somehow feels he’s above going to prison when you have thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people, jailed all over this country in the United States for no other reason than the color of their skin or their economic status,” he added.
Snowden, a former National Security Agency contractor, began leaking classified intelligence documents in June 2013, revealing the extent of the agency’s spying programs.
He revealed that the spy agency has been collecting the phone records of millions of Americans and foreign nationals as well as political leaders around the world.
