Teens charged over ‘torture’ of autistic boy

Two teenage girls have been charged after allegedly torturing a 12-year-old autistic boy in Townsville.

The boy was allegedly kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted last Sunday morning by the two girls, aged just 13 and 14, the Townsville Bulletin reports.

He was riding his bike home after fishing in a creek when he was pulled off and dragged into a house that was under construction, the boy’s mother told the newspaper.

The woman, who cannot be identified, said her son was bashed, threatened with a knife and stripped naked.

He managed to escape and ran next door where the home owners phoned his mum.

“He was dragged off his pushbike by his hoodie and dragged into a house that was under construction and severely beaten up, kicked, kneed and punched,” the mother said.

“They got him in there and basically attacked him severely, ripped all his clothes off, they had a knife to his throat and told him they were going to kill him.”

The boy reportedly could not communicate how long he was held captive, but said it might have been an hour.

Queensland police confirmed to ninemsn that two females were charged with a number of offences in relation to the incident.

Both will be dealt with under the Juvenile Justice Act.
