Semnan, Dec 27, IRNA – An earthquake measuring 4.3 on Richter scale jolted Sorkhe in mid-central province of Semnan on Sunday afternoon.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 15:02:20 hour local time (11:32 hours GMT) and its epicenter is in 53.22 degrees longitude and 35.21 degrees latitude and in depth of 10 kilometers underground.
There is no immediate report on possible casualty or damages.
The epicenter of the quake was 28 kilometers far from Sorkhe, 43 kilometers from Semnan, capital of the province and 57 kilometers from Mahdishahr city.
