Turkish minister: Iranian women have high social standing

IRNA – The Turkish Minister of Family and Social Policies, during a visit to the Iranian Embassy in Ankara on Wednesday, said Iranian women enjoy high social standing.

Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya warmly accepted the Iranian Vice President in Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverd’s invitation to visit Iran, and told the Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard, “This visit can be an opportunity to exchange ideas and use Iran’s experiences.”

She said that expanding women’s social activities is one of the main obsessions of her respective ministry and that trying to solve women’s problems and expanding women’s presence in society is her ministry’s main mission.

A meeting on family and social policy making is going to be held in Mashad, the Capital of the Islamic Culture in 2017, on April 27 at the level of ministers of the member countries.
