Two boys have been airlifted to hospital after suffering injuries in separate rugby league matches in NSW.
CareFlight helicopter says an 11-year-old boy was left unconscious and suffering neck, back and head injuries after a tackle in a game at Picton in Sydney’s west on Sunday afternoon.
He was being assessed at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
A second boy, aged 15, was also airlifted to Westmead after suffering head injuries from a tackle at Umina Beach on the state’s Central Coast.
He was in a stable condition, Careflight said in a statement.
