UK protesters to occupy Tube on May Day

The anti-capitalist activists are reported to be planning to occupy multiple trains simultaneously on Monday, while trade union members have announced widespread protest rallies for a week.

The decision was made during the last meeting of the Occupy London activists, which was held on the St Paul’s Cathedral steps on Wednesday. More details coming so stay in touch,” the group posted on its website.

“Occupy London is planning something very special and would like to invite you to get involved.

Other occasions planned by the activists for May Day constitute a march from Clerkenwell Geen to Trafalgar Square, where demonstrators tried to form a camp during massive protests last November.

The group also asked people to attend the strikes across the country to demand their right to working conditions, pensions and financial inequalities.

“This May Day, strike with your union if you have one. Call in sick, take a holiday, don’t show up,” the group said.

“Join actions and marches in your city, bring your community together and talk about the issues in your area, make some noise. Remember, you are not alone and that together we can make a change.”
