“I strongly condemn the Israeli government’s decision to turn three illegal outposts in the West Bank into settlements. I urged the Israeli government to remove – not legalize- outposts across the West Bank,” said Hague on Wednesday.
Hague’s move to accuse Israeli regime of seeking to entrench its illegal settlements in the West Bank comes as recent revelations prove the Zionist regime’s behind-the-scenes bribery of British MPs.
Earlier this month, The Guardian revealed that British Lords and MPs received at least £1.8 million from foreign governments and lobby groups in 2011 in the form of gifts, sponsorships and even in cash through cross-party groups, confirming twists in British politicians’ questionable links to the Israeli regime.
Three outposts, Bruchin, Rechelim and Sansana, which are among about 100 unauthorized developments in the West Bank, were defined “illegal” because they lacked proper authorization when founded in the 1990s, but they were “legalized” this week by a special ministerial committee.
Moreover, Ulpana and Migron outposts are under a demolition order and due to be evacuated by Tuesday, August 1.
Hague also said that by seeking to renege on a pledge to demolish West Bank outposts built on privately owned Palestinian land, Israel “risks sending the message that it is not serious about its stated commitment to the goal of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”
Meanwhile, the attorney general of Israel Yehuda Weinstein will ask the Supreme Court to delay an order to evacuate and demolish five apartment buildings at Ulpana, which is expected to lead to international condemnation.
