A man charged over a shooting at a North Adelaide cafe 12 days ago has appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.

The 24-year-old from Salisbury was arrested at a house at Henley Beach South on Thursday afternoon.

Police say he is the man they were searching for after several shots were fired from a hand gun at Caffe Paesano in O’Connell Street on December 18.

The man has been charged with aggravated acts to endanger life.

He did not apply for bail and his identity was suppressed.

He will reappear in court in March.
