FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Protesters and regime forces faced off on Friday night when people took to the streets to mark the first anniversary of an emergency law that was put in place to quash the protest movement in the country.
It’s been more than a year since the popular protests sprang up in the tiny Persian Gulf state, with the protesters calling for the ouster of the Al Khalifa regime.
The demonstrators also demanded that protest leaders be let out of jail.
Bahrain is in the midst of an ongoing popular revolution that started in mid-February 2011.
The Bahraini regime has harshly cracked down on the protests, killing scores of people and jailing many others.
The Saudi-backed regime is also accused of abusing prisoners as Western governments retain silence on the crackdown. This, as international rights organizations have severely criticized Manama over its rights violations.
The Bahraini public hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for deaths of protesters during the uprising. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has been helping Bahrain crush the protests.
