Martin, 54, had faced one count of indecent assault, one of underage sex and one of producing child exploitation material.

Martin was one of 100 men who had sex with a 12-year-old girl prostituted by her own mother and her mother’s partner Gary John Devine in September, 2009.

Both of them are now serving jail sentences.

Martin admitted he had oral sex with the girl on two occasions at his Claremont home and at the makeshift brothel Devine provided in the form of his Glenorchy unit in Chapel St.

Martin also admitted that he took sexually explicit photographs of her.

But Martin denied he was guilty of any crime because he believed the girl was 18, as advertised in the newspaper ad he responded to.

Martin told police he “couldn’t think of anything more disgusting” than having sex with a 12-year-old.

Today, during pre-sentence submissions in the Supreme Court Martin admitted to hiring a transexual male prostitute and male prostitute.

During the trial he said he had been addicted to sex workers and had spent $150,000 on them over two years.

He said medication prescribed for his Parkinson’s disease had dramatically increased his libido.
