Homicide police probe woman’s death at Goroke



A WOMAN has become the latest person to die in suspicious circumstances amid a spate of murders across Victoria.


The woman was badly injured but still alive when police arrived at a house in Goroke, about six hours west of Melbourne, about 10.30pm yesterday.

She was taken to hospital but died shortly after.

Homicide squad detectives are on their way to the scene in Barrack St and her death is being treated death as suspicious.

A 47-year-old Apsley man has been arrested and is assisting police.

The woman’s death is the fourth suspicious incident since Friday.

Two men have been arrested after a 31-year-old man was found dead in a unit in Nth Melbourne about 5.40pm on Saturday.

Another six men have been charged after a 25-year-old man died in Horsham on Friday night.

In another incident, a man found his 41-year-old son dead in a house in Endeavour Hills about 10.30am on Sunday.
