HOMICIDE squad detectives in Victoria are investigating the disappearance of a woman almost a month ago.

Zahara Rahimzadegan, 46, was last seen at her home in High St, Ashwood, about 2.30pm on December 16.

Ms Rahimzadegan went by the name Mandy Ahmadi on Facebook. Detectives believe she also used the nickname “Glorious”.

Inspector John Potter said the homicide squad had taken over the investigation from local detectives and held grave concerns for her welfare.

“It has been almost a month since she was last seen and we now believe her disappearance to be suspicious,” Insp Potter said.

“Investigators would like to hear from anyone in the community who has information about her whereabouts and we will follow up any line of enquiry this provides.”

Ms Rahimzadegan’s mobile phone was missing but her wallet and handbag were found at her home.

Police have released a photograph of Ms Rahimzadegan to aid the search.
