Israeli newspaper Haaretz says Netanyahu’s conduct is pushing the entity toward the verge of exploding.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz warned settlers on Thursday to “prepare for a civil war,” pointing out the renewed massive protests taking place in “Tel Aviv” against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu coinciding with the war on Gaza.
Offering a visual of the situation, the outlet asked, “Imagine what will happen when crowds take to the streets while a conflict rages in the background. The streets will become volatile and explosive.”

It said that some version of a “civil war” is on the verge of erupting, stating, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been torn to shreds in a tripartite power struggle.”
Regarding demonstrations, the newspaper indicated that the protesters would be portrayed as traitors, “undermining the nation and its soldiers at the frontline.” They would be dealt with accordingly, especially considering the proliferation of firearms and handguns in the area, distributed based on political affiliations.
The government led by Netanyahu is a “nightmare” in power, the report said, noting that it has made numerous promises but failed to deliver.
It further added that the Israeli government is currently preoccupied with ensuring a perpetual state of war on Gaza and the northern borders with Lebanon, all while igniting tensions in the West Bank.

The newspaper suggested that the government’s survival hinges on the continuation of perpetual conflict.
“The year 2024 is expected to be a grim and troubled year,” Haaretz said, outlining a series of crises, starting from the war casualties and maneuvering in the quagmire of Gaza and the Lebanese borders and extending to sacrificing Israelis held captive by the Resistance in Gaza.
Elsewhere in the report, the newspaper addressed the economic crisis facing the occupation entity, forecasting simmering unrest, renewed protests, and the current state of security forces.
“This week, it became evident that the police have returned to operate as the ‘[Israeli Police Minister Itamar] Ben-Gvir Militia,’ as they were before October 7.”
In recent days, tens of thousands of Israeli settlers took part in pre-organized protests “Tel Aviv,” which were scheduled to last an entire day.

Demonstrators are demanding the return of Israeli captives, the ousting of Netanyahu’s government, and expediting new elections.
The Financial Times reported earlier that the Prime Minister is facing a fierce political backlash over his handling of the captives’ issue. The newspaper mentioned that opposition leaders in the entity and some members of the war cabinet are calling for a reconsideration of the war strategy.
In the same context, The Wall Street Journal reported that disputes among members of the war cabinet “have begun to spill into the open,” threatening to undermine the military strategy pursued by the entity in a “critical phase” of the war on Gaza.
