A man has died in hospital after a firecracker exploded in his face on New Year’s Eve.
The 34-year-old man from the Melbourne suburb of Tarneit suffered extensive head injuries and was put into an induced coma yesterday.
He died at the Alfred Hospital last night.
A 49-year-old Preston man suffered a serious eye injury and burns in a similar incident on New Year’s Eve.
