Man dies after rolling car near Bathurst

A man has died after his car rolled and hit a tree in central western NSW.

The 26-year-old Kelso man was driving through O’Connell, near Bathurst, when his vehicle left the road, rolled and hit a tree, police say.

He died at the scene and the wreckage was found by a passing motorist.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner.

Earlier a 72-year-old man died when a b-double semi-trailer crossed the highway and collided with his 4WD while travelling north on the New England Highway near Glen Innes.

A motorcycle rider died in a crash in Sydney’s southwest on Saturday. The 35-year-old man was heading along Hurricane Drive in Raby, near Campbelltown, when a car pulled out from Kittyhawk Crescent and collided with him.

And a baby died on Saturday night following a crash near Emerald Beach on NSW’s north coast.
