A man has crashed his car into a power pole after being chased by police on NSW’s south coast.
The 30-year-old from Crows Nest, on Sydney’s north shore, allegedly sped away from officers after being pulled over for a breath test on the Princes Highway at North Batemans Bay about 2am (AEST) on Sunday.
A short time later he hit road spikes laid across the highway at Burrill Lake and drove another 800 metres before running off the road and into a power pole, police said.
The man was taken to Milton-Ulladulla Hospital before being flown to Sydney’s St George Hospital with a fractured thigh bone and possible internal injuries.
