  • Update: Little Rock, Arkansas (Previously reported 08-08-14): A now-former lieutenant has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison after pleading guilty in a drug case.   • Thibodaux, Louisiana: The police chief’s decisions to suspend an officer twice for violating departmental policies were unanimously upheld by the city’s civil service board. http://ow.ly/DKT0q
  • Park Ridge, Illinois: A police officer was charged with driving under the influence after he crashed into a utility pole. He was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving off the roadway, improper lane usage and driving without a seat belt. http://ow.ly/DKJtF

  • Camden County, New Jersey: An officer was acting as a mole. Her husband helped lead a drug ring that sold $1.2 million of narcotics annually, dealing heroin and crack cocaine.   • Virginia Beach, Virginia: A police officer has been charged after a bar fight. He has been charged with two counts of assault and battery and one count of disorderly conduct. The officer has been placed on administrative duty pending his court appearance and an internal investigation. ly/DJWgn
  • Detroit, Michigan: The suspension of four police officers means the department is serious about weeding out corruption now that a decade of federal oversight has ended.
