Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry said on Saturday he would get the U.S. military involved in Mexico’s war with drug cartels, in comments likely to upset the Mexican government.

The remarks appear to be a new misstatement on foreign policy by Perry, the Texas governor who is struggling to hold on to the mantle of frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

Perry said that as president he would work with Mexico in the same way that the United States has worked with Colombia to combat drug cartels.

“The way that we were able to stop the drug cartels in Colombia was with a coordinated effort,” he said in a campaign speech in New Hampshire. “It may take our military” working with the Mexican government to win Mexico’s drug war, he said.

  1. *Now over 90 requests sent out so far. Thank you all who have helped me. * Available upon request: official, original, un-doctored BTS .zip files showing the 4 9-11 “hijacked” planes either did not exist or were used for other purposes this day; therefore, the “official” story crumbles. Send request to edmail404 at gmail dot com and then get them out to everyone, everywhere. “V” for Victory! Thanks.

    Hmmm, let’s parse this gem.

re: “The way that we were able”

Billions of US taxpayer-extorted wealth to Dyncorp and other beltway bandits, billions more to military salaries, billions more to bribe Colombian officials and authorities. Check.

re: “to stop the drug cartels”

Right. No more drug cartels in operation in Colombia, that’s for sure. Dried that up. Not a cocaine submarine in sight. (In a fantasy world/in a porcine eye, etc)

    re: “in Colombia”

Yeah: none there – or anywhere else U.S. drug policy graces. Poor cartels had to stop operations in Colombia, so sublime is “The Way.” (Just ignore those multi-ton cocaine subs behind the curtain.)

    Check.

re: “was with a coordinated effort”

Read: the police state must be centralized to purge the land of traitors and thoughtcriminals!

Besides, who is like unto the Coordinated Effort, and who is able to make war against it?

We need to fact facts about the drug “war” … it is a pork-barrel make-work jobs program for police, as well as a ready and perpetual supply of classic scapegoats for demagogic politicians.

They’re in denial, but they still need an intervention to prevent their destructive behavior from getting worse and negatively affecting more of the community.

  3. Repeal the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937.
    Abolish the BATF.
    End the mandatory taxes.
