Save an Endangered Cacao Tree with Cool Earth this Easter

Cool Earth, Europe’s fastest growing environmental charity, is asking you to give a gift this Easter that will make a difference in the lives of the Asháninka communities who make a living from chocolate production in Peru.

For $2 you can sponsor a cacao tree in the Peruvian rainforest that will be protected from loggers. You’ll join environmentalists and celebrities including Sir David Attenborough, Kate Moss and Ricky Gervais as well as Dame Vivienne Westwood who recently donated one million pounds to Cool Earth.

Cacao trees can also be protected as a gift. The recipient will get a personalized certificate of sponsorship either through post or email, and a link to a Google Map of the tree’s geolocation.

Learn more about Cool Earth and how they’re protecting rainforests that are in imminent danger. After you’ve saved a cacao tree why not treat yourself to one of these 10 Fairtrade, Organic, and Vegan Easter chocolates.
