Ron Paul is a consistent man. He’s been preaching the same economic gospel for two generations, a gospel based on the teachings of economists Friedrich Hayek and Ludwig von Mises, leavened by the objectivism of Ayn Rand. He’s been convinced for decades of the dangers of fiat money (money backed only by confidence in the government that creates it), the supreme importance of the individual, the primacy of personal liberty as a political principle, and a laissez faire approach to the economy.

Paul believes and says the same things now that he said 40 years ago, but that’s a minor type of consistency. People learn and change over the decades, and that’s usually praiseworthy, not a sign of moral weakness. If Paul came to political and economic principles 40 years ago that are as true and bright to him today as they were then, that’s fine, but that’s not what’s admirable or important about his consistency.

What’s important about Paul is that his ideas are ideologically consistent. They spring from a set of principles, and he’s not afraid to let his ideas go where his principles take them.

Ron Paul has the courage of his convictions.

Republicans say that they oppose the growth of the federal government. They want federal power devolved to the states. If you believe them, ask them about same sex marriage, drug legalization, and abortion. Scarcely a Republican in Washington wants those issues left to the states. They want them federalized, just as they wanted to federalize medical decisions in the case of Terri Schiavo. Republicans like to talk about individual liberty, but they don’t trust you to do the “right” thing with it any more than Democrats do.

The difference between Republicans and Democrats lies in which aspects of your life they want to control. They don’t disagree that you need to be controlled.

Paul does. It isn’t that he thinks we should have no laws – he favors a minimal government, not zero government – but rather that he thinks your sphere of personal autonomy should be as large as it can be without damaging the autonomy of others. What control there must be should be as local as possible. If there are to be laws against drug use, they should be state, not federal. There’s no constitutional reason that you shouldn’t be able to watch porn in your living room while smoking a joint. That your neighbors think it’s sleazy is no excuse to create a DEA.

  1. Sad how the MSM goes to the smoking joint and watching porn as an example of liberty.

A better of example of what Ron Paul wants to have the liberty to do is drink raw milk while homeschooling his children.

Exactly, this is intentional! It’s part of their mind control.

Yeah, it was a fairly decent article until the last couple of sentences. Ron Paul never said that and never would. The writer was either careless
    ( stupid ) or clever ( evil ) . I lean towards the
    latter.

Guilt by inference. CNN pulled that dirty trick with Anderson Cooper, two or three days ago.
A mugshot of some notorious “evildoer” flashed across the screen behind Ron Paul.

I forgot who it was … maybe it was Bosco.

  2. He has become more aggressive speaker this time around. Compared to 08.
You could say he has become more Refined and a little more articulate.
Takes no Smack from the MSMsters or his GOP playroom buddies anymore.

  3. “They don’t disagree that you need to be controlled.”

Bingo! THAT is their Endgame. Your mind will be controlled. You will think “there are TWO parties that are different” when in fact there are no differences at all, other than the noise they make. They DO the same thing; they just tell different lies to different crowds.

RON PAUL is not the same as other candidates!
Ron will at least start the process of healing our land!
RON PAUL 2012, notice he is censored, Gee I Wonder Why

  4. Everybody knows that the only reason drugs are illegal is for the Government to run a black market drug business, greatly expand the prison and health care system, and just generally because they love to control and fk with everyone and everything they can. The one good thing about a nuclear war is DC, London, Paris, Moscow, Tel Aviv, and every other congregation of power hungry, parasite scum bags will get incinerated. We should all pray to the Lord Almighty for a limited (only the above mentioned targets) nuclear war. We will call it the Clean Humanity Up War when it is over.

Sad to say, that’s why they have their huge bunkers built, probably even from the bailout money among other things. Let’s hope a nuclear war blows the planet up in that case and hope they don’t have some base on the moon or hide on the ISS 😉

In short: This parasite has infected the host so badly that even burning the host to a crisp wouldnt fully kill the parasite and let it spread out again.
