FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda The NSW government is reportedly planning to reintroduce a toll on the M4 to raise much needed funds for new motorways.
Motorists travelling on the M5 East may be forced to pay a new toll within 12 months too, Fairfax media reports.
This would mean commuters heading inbound from Sydney’s southwest will have to pay three separate tolls, adding more than $40 a week to their journey.
The NRMA is warning of a backlash against the O’Farrell government for introducing the tolls, but it says it cannot raise the funds it needs for motorway infrastructure without the tolls.
The government said it will not introduce a London-style congestion charge, but would look at developing a distance based tolling system.
“There are a number of road-pricing mechanisms… some of which may be suitable for Sydney,” NSW Roads Minister Duncan Gay told Fairfax.
“Personally, I have a strong opinion that congestion based tolling is not appropriate for NSW.”
