A fire at the Maltese Community Centre in Melbourne has forced the evacuation of a neighbouring home.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade was called to the blaze about 1.30am (AEST) on Friday on Royal Parade, Parkville, which started in a meeting room.
Four people inside an adjoining residential home were evacuated by firefighters.
The fire was contained in one room and it is believed to have been caused by a candle left burning on a table in the community centre during Easter festivities, according to the MFB.
