NABLUS (Ma’an) — A delegation of Palestinian Legislative Council members on Thursday visited Palestinians detained in Israeli jails.
Najat Abu Bakr, Gamal Huwail, Nasser Jumaa, Ala Baghee, Jihad Abu Zneid, and Jihad Tmlah visited prisoners and met with Israel’s prison service to discuss detainees’ legal and health issues.
The lawmakers said in a statement that they stressed the need for Israeli authorities to abide by laws protecting detainees.
The delegation reported its findings to the PLC highlighting issues to be addressed.
