Newly elected Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is a Tea Party favorite, a devout Christian and the latest to adhere to the Christian version of Sharia law in the US.

One of Bevin’s first tasks was to file several executive orders “to start reshaping state government along conservative [Christian] ideological lines.”

The changes in favor of Christianity’s discriminatory mandates include “one that removes county clerks’ names from marriage licenses, granting the request of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis, who opposes same-sex marriage. Others reversed earlier executive orders by former Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear to restore voting rights to felons and for a higher minimum wage for state workers and employees of state vendors.”

Davis did not want to have her name on the marriage certificates of same-sex couples and refused to issue licenses for anyone in Rowan County because of her religious beliefs; regardless of the fact that she was elected to follow the laws of her state and the nation at large.

When asked about her role in the debate over the religious ideology of the US, Davis told the press that she “put her faith in action by refusing to issue the licenses.”

She continued: “No one would ever have remembered a county clerk that just said … ‘Even though I don’t agree with it, it’s OK. I’ll do it.’ If I could be remembered for one thing, it’s that I was not afraid to not compromise myself.”

Per the fundamentalism of the Tea Party, Bevin also reversed the rights of 100,000 Kentuckians to vote after the previous governor restored non-violent felons rights after they served the totality of their sentences.
