A motorcyclist was killed on a WA country road this afternoon, the third road fatality for the state in less than 48 hours.

The rider, believed to be a man, died after coming off his bike on Werribee Road, near Allen Street, in Wundowie this afternoon.

The man was initially reported as having serious head injuries.

St John Ambulance was called to treat the man, however he died a short time later.

The man’s death follows the death of a motorcyclist in Perth’s south yesterday.

The 46-year-old man was killed when his bike veered onto the wrong side of the road, slamming into a vehicle being driven by a 13-year-old girl.

The girl’s grandfather was teaching her to drive in the utility shortly before the crash in Casuarina about 4.15pm.

The girl and her grandfather could both face criminal charges, in relation to allowing an unlicensed minor to drive on a gazetted road.

On Saturday night, a 16-year-old girl was killed when the car she was travelling in crashed into a tree in Wagin.

The girl was one of four teenage passengers in the vehicle – being driven by a 17-year-old girl – which crashed just before 7pm.

The driver and other three passengers were treated for minor injuries.

Anyone with information about any of these crashes is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
