A Perth woman has undergone surgery, after she was allegedly set alight inside her apartment.
The horrific attack, which left Dana Vulin with burns to 30 per cent of her body, happened Thursday morning, around 6:30am.
Neighbours say they woke to hear the 25-year-old screaming for help.
Detectives say it appears the attack was pre-meditated.
‘This morning at 6.30 police were called by FESA to an address at Tanunda Drive in Rivervale as a result of a house fire. When FESA have arrived they located a woman in her mid 20s who had been severely burnt as a result of an incident,’ Det Sen Sgt Adams said.
‘It appears her upper body and torso was set alight. We’ll be looking into potential types of accelerants that may have been used.
‘This seems to be a pre-meditated approach, as far as identifying who this person is.
‘We have a number of witnesses that heard a disturbance in the morning that suggested something obviously wasn’t right.’
Ms Vulin is in a critical but stable condition.
