‘US, Israeli terrorism doomed to fail’

“Despite the high pressure exerted by the global arrogance on Syria and the resistance movement, the evil forces will have no choice but to retreat,” said the Armed Forces Central Command in a Thursday statement.

The Syrian government and nation are determined to weather the US and its European and regional allies’ radicalism, and have so far succeeded in fulfilling the task, it added.

It emphasized that the nervousness of the US, Israeli regime, some reactionary Arab states and the so-called advocates of human rights in assuming a posture against the latest bombing and other acts of terror unveil their brutal approaches and prove their “direct and blatant” role in such moves.

The Central Command also added that such countries would pay for spreading terrorism.

The statement came a day after Syrian Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Assef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani were killed in a bomb attack on the headquarters of the National Security Bureau in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Interior Minister Mohammad Ibrahim al-Sha’ar and National Security Bureau chief Hisham Bikhtiyar were also wounded in the attack.

The so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorists claimed responsibility for the attack, threatening more violence in the Syrian capital in the coming days.
