Boy suffers head injuries in bike crash

A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital after he crashed into a friend on a motocross track on the NSW central coast.

The 17-year-old boy was knocked unconscious and suffered head and chest injuries in the crash between the two motorbikes on a private property at Wyee at around 11.30am on Saturday.

Ambulance paramedics and a CareFlight trauma team attended the scene before the boy was flown to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a stable condition.
