VANDALS have damaged more than 50 cars in Melbourne’s leafy east during an early-morning crime spree.
Police were called to Percy St in Hawthorn just after 5am, following reports of offenders smashing cars.
On arrival police found that more than 50 cars had been damaged, mostly the driver’s side mirrors.
The criminal damage also extended to surrounding streets including Kintore St in Camberwell, Bowley Ave in Balwyn and Belford Rd in East Kew.
