Gunmen seized the laborers in the Sui district, some 669 km (416 miles) northeast of Islamabad, on Thursday as they were working on a road linking the area to the Dera Bugti district, situated about 400 kilometers (250 miles) southeast of the provincial capital, Quetta.
The armed attackers later shifted the abductees to an unknown location.
Law enforcement forces cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation after the attack. However, no arrests have been reported so far.
Kidnappings by militants and criminal gangs for ransom are common in parts of Pakistan, especially in the insurgency-hit southwestern province of Balochistan and the northwestern part of the country.
Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants and associated groups have carried out numerous attacks on security forces as well as civilians, and managed to spread their influence in various regions of the country despite frequent offensives by the Pakistani government against them.
Over 35,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2001 when Pakistan entered an alliance with the US on the so-called war against terrorism, according to local media.
Since late 2009, there has been a surge in militant attacks in Pakistan.
Thousands more have been displaced by the wave of violence and militancy sweeping across the country.
