(Scroll down for video) CNN’s Anderson Cooper was nearly killed by a huge explosion in Gaza, during a live news media report, according to video uploaded to the internet.
The massive bomb blast caused CNN reporter Anderson Cooper to lose his footing and duck for cover during a live report from Gaza City on Sunday night.
Cooper stood in what looked like a roof or balcony in the Palestinian city under siege when the sky behind him suddenly lit up followed by a large noise of an explosion.
“Whoa!” Copper shouted.
The senior reporter quickly recovered and said with a chuckle: “That was a pretty big explosion.”
After looking over the edge of his perch, Cooper said it was not clear where the explosion occurred and that it had launched a series of car alarms.
“That was probably the most powerful explosion that was heard in the last hour really,” he said.
Monday was the sixth day of the conflict between Israel and Gaza, which began after Israel killed the top military commander of the Palestinian territory with an air strike last Wednesday.
100 Palestinians and three Israelis have died until Monday morning, according to the news media.
