First she was charged with running a prostitution business, but now she is facing child porn charges, according to court proceedings.
Former Zumba instructor prostitute is facing another serious charge of producing child porn with her son.
Alexis Wright, 29, allegedly prostituted herself to more than 150 men and secretly recorded the naked encounters in Kennebunk, Maine.
Now she is accused of snapping inappropriate pictures of her naked with her 7-year-old son. “My naked son appeared covered from the waist down with only a sheet, while Alexis was completely naked,” the boy’s father Benjamin Hopkins said in a complaint.
Hopkins, who sought full custody of his son, said he learned of the images through Sara Berry, a social worker from the Department of Health and Human Services, on October 17, according to the news media. Berry said the photos were taken on a camera belonging to Mr. Mark Strong, 57, who allegedly helped run Wright’s prostitution business.
Hopkins said that he believes that the child is in a “very dangerous situation.” He filed a complaint requesting a temporary restraining order against Alexis on October 26. A judge denied the request
and set a hearing for the matter on Wednesday.
But neither Hopkins nor Wright appeared in the courtroom. “This is dismissed,” a judge of the District Court of York ruled after calling their names and received no reply. Wright allegedly did not receive a subpoena to appear in connection with Hopkins’ complaint, according to the newspaper. Wright pleaded not guilty to the 100 charges of prostitution and invasion of privacy.
Kennebunk Police Department has released the names of 39 people who were charged with paying for prostitution. The police are expected to release more names on Friday.
