David Schulberg Army units on Monday regained control over al-Zarzour, al-Nakarin, Talet al-Taaneh and al-Mijbel areas in Aleppo countryside after eliminating the terrorists’ last gathering there, a military source told SANA.
The source added that the army units are dismantling the explosive devices and mines planted by the armed terrorist groups in those areas.
These operations resulted in destroying a large number of terrorist vehicles, rocket launchers and mortar launchers, in addition to 52 Grad rockets, and large amounts of homemade rockets, in addition to dismantling six car bombs and more than 2,000 anti-tank and anti personnel landmines and explosive devices in al-Zarzour and al-Nakarin.
The army uncovered a network of connected tunnels containing terrorist command centers in al-Zarzour, some of them 10 meters deep in the ground.
The terrorists killed in al-Zarzour included a Turk named Al-Muntaser Bellah Tarak, 4 Libyans named Ali al-Jendi, Abu Marouf al-Muhajri, Abu Isaac, and Abu al-Jawshan, 3 Saudis named Mohammad al-Otaibi, Makshab al-Mahaibi, and Abu Turab al-Najdi, 2 Yemenis named Hadi Ahmad al-Amin and Abdelaziz al-Sakhri, a Tunisian called Masoud Abu Aziz, a Moroccan named Abu Omar al-Maghrebi, an Azerbaijani named Abu Bakr al-Azeri, a Kuwaiti named Abu Muhajer, an Egyptian called Abu Suhail, and Mohammad al-Sahwani.
The source said that army unit destroyed terrorists’ gathering in the old city of Aleppo, killing 5 terrorists and injuring others.
The army also destroyed terrorists’ weapons and ammunition in an ambush in al-Azamiyeh neighborhood in Aleppo city, while another army unit killed 10 terrorists in al-Dababiyeh area in Aleppo province.
Army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings in Khan al-Hafireh area, to the north of al-Bab, Huritan, Hayan, surrounding Aleppo central prison, Babis and Maarat al-Artik, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others and destroying their tools.
