Thousands of Bahraini people gathered on Thursday outside the UN headquarters in the capital, Manama, calling on the world body to help release political prisoners
The protesters condemned the violation of their rights by the Al Khalifa regime.
Dubbed “People Killed for Democracy,” the gathering was one of the many rallies outside the UN office in Manama.
Scores of people have been killed and thousands more arrested for participating in anti-regime protests which erupted in mid-February 2011.
