CAIRNS, April 24 AAP – Judges of Australia’s “Best Jobs in the World” promotion have trawled through 45,000 videos to shortlist the best entries.

Tourism Australia (TA) is offering its pick of the best working holiday jobs Down Under to showcase the country, including being a “funster” in NSW and an outback adventurer in the Northern Territory.

Winners will be paid $100,000 each for a six-month contract starting in June.

TA announced on Wednesday that 150 people from 35 countries have been shortlisted for the jobs.

Of them, 33 are from the United States, 23 from the United Kingdom, 17 each from Australia and France, and eight from Canada.

Other countries represented include Afghanistan, China, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia and Mexico.

The top three candidates for each job will be flown to Australia for final assessment in mid-June, before the winners are announced on June 21.

The promotion aims to boost the number of working holiday tourists visiting Australia.
