The target of the Wednesday incident is still unclear and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The bomb was attached to a bicycle parked in front of a hospital and near the mosque.
The injured were mainly the bystanders, senior police official Fayaz Sumbal said.
Baluchistan has been the site of mounting violence against Shia Muslims.
Late Tuesday, a car bomb targeting a Pakistani Shia politician killed six and injured 30 others in Quetta.
Abdul Khaliq Hazara, the leader of Pakistan’s Hazara Democratic Party, who was the target of the attack escaped unharmed.
On February 16, a bomb attack targeting Shia Muslims in the main bazaar of Quetta killed at least 90 people, including women and children, and injured 200 others. According to the police, most of the victims were Hazara Shias.
On January 10, a twin bomb attack at a crowded billiard hall killed more than 90 people, mostly Shia Muslims, in Quetta.
