(Scroll down for video) A little boy was miraculously left uninjured despite falling out from a third story window onto the rocks below, according to video uploaded to the internet.
“I fall really really far”, 4-year-old, Dylan Hayes told a television news station after miraculously surviving a fall of three stories in which the child turned over twice before landing on his feet.
The local television news station reported that the young Dylan was standing on the living room sofa that was moved near the window trying to talk to his neighbors downstairs when he fell out.
“I was terrified,” his mother, Jessica Hayes told the television news station. “I did not know what I was going to see when I got to the ground floor,” she added.
She had moved the couch next to the window because she was shampooing the carpet in the living room, she told the television news station.
Hayes also said that it must have been her longest trip downstairs in her life.
Despite landing on his feet, Dylan was taken to a local hospital and kept under observation for 20 hours.
Doctors put a neck brace on the child as a precaution, but said that he appeared to have not suffered any injury. Even more surprising, Dylan landed on solid rocks.
“It must have been angels who watch over him,” the grandmother of the child, Kelli Hayes, said.
Meanwhile, Jessica Hayes said that the incident reminded her to never make assumptions about the safety of her child. She also moved from the apartment and is looking for a new home on the first floor.
