For some reason, Obama is determined to shut down Guantanamo Bay. He has released record numbers of All-star terrorists under the guise of a trade for Bergdahl for example and others because they “have been rehabilitated…”

Obama has just 14 (excruciatingly long) months left to destroy America every way he possibly think of and closing GITMO is on the top of his list. It’s being reported that Obama is set to issue an EXECUTIVE ORDER to close down the federal detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Some are calling this his ‘most aggressive use of his authority to date.’

White House press secretary Josh Earnest hinted last week that the president might use his executive authority to close the prison. On Monday, Earnest said the White House is focused on working with Congress to shut down Guantanamo, but he left the door open on the president taking executive action.

“At this point, I would not take anything off the table in terms of the president doing everything that he can to achieve this critically important national security objective.”

The administration is likely to submit a plan for how it would shutter the controversial site to Congress in the next few weeks, if not days. There are still 112 detainees at Guantanamo, of whom 53 have been deemed eligible for transfer.

The prison has cost the American taxpayers nearly $5 billion since it opened in 2002, with an average price tag of around $495 million every year for the past five years, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

Obama pledged during his 2008 campaign that he would close the detention facility; he has since repeatedly promised to take action, citing the exorbitant cost of running the prison and its use as a recruiting tool for terrorist organizations around the globe.

If it is being used as a ‘recruiting tool for terrorists’ then WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU RELEASING THESE ALL STAR JIHADS? Obama doesn’t give a crap about terrorists. What a joke.

His plan, however, could be reconsidered in light of the latest attack by ISIS in Paris, which killed 129 people and injured 352—a massacre that French President Hollande has called an “act of war.”

Republican and Democratic majorities in Congress have passed multiple laws to check the president’s ability to close the site. The latest came earlier this month when Congress overwhelmingly approved the fiscal 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

America’s Freedom Fighters reported that Congress sent President Barack Obama a $607 billion defense policy bill Tuesday that bans moving Guantanamo Bay detainees to the United States — something Obama has been trying to do since he was sworn in as president.

The Senate’s 91-3 vote gave final legislative approval to the measure. The House overwhelmingly passed it last week, 370-58.

A Pentagon report expected as early as this week identifies prisons in Colorado, Kansas and South Carolina where Guantanamo detainees could possibly be housed so the military prison in Cuba could be shut down. That has raised the ire of lawmakers, especially those from the three states.

So it remains to be seen if the dictator-in-chief will pull out his pen and by-pass congress and the constitution for the sole purpose of building his ‘legacy…’
