FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda According to Syria’s official news agency SANA, the army intercepted a truck loaded with three tones of explosives on al-Mastoumeh road on Tuesday as it was heading to Idlib.
Syrian troops also defused a car bomb in Jaramana city in Damascus countryside.
The attempted bombings came a day after at least 15 civilians were killed and almost 150 others were injured in a terrorist car bomb explosion in central Damascus.
There are also reports of clashes between the Syrian army and foreign-backed militants in Homs, Dara’a and Damascus suburbs. SANA says dozens of militants were killed in the confrontations.
Meanwhile, head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has confirmed that al-Nusra Front, which is fighting against the Syrian government, is part of Iraqi al-Qaeda, adding that its leader Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani was “one of our soldiers”.
Al-Nusra Front emerged in mid-2012 to fight against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The terrorist group, which is on the international terrorist organizations list, has claimed responsibility for most of the bombings in Syria. The group is also accused of being behind the brutal killings of Syrian civilians.
