ABC – Militants killed at least 24 people in south-west Pakistan when they blew up a bus and then attacked the hospital where the survivors were being treated. The violence began on Saturday when a bomb exploded in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan, destroying a bus filled with female students. At least 14 of the women were killed and 19 wounded. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, which was then stormed by militants who threw grenades and began a gun battle with security forces. At least 10 died in the hospital, including nurses, security staff and a senior city official who had come to visit the wounded students. Read Article
